Goody Bag Night
This year, goody bags were stuffed on Monday night instead of Tuesday night.
This was done so that registration could be set up on Tuesday afternoon. Club members gathered at the London Bridge Resort's Convention
Center to pack bags by passing them down two assembly lines and
at the end of the line they were boxed for
distribution when registration opened on Wednesday morning. As of Monday, 845
cars had pre-registered, which was the exact same number as last year, and we
were once again expecting to reach 1000 entries.
After the last bag was packed, our Run Chairwoman, Paula
Zalibra, and President, Fred Farshler, gave us a pep talk. We were ready for a
lot of work and a lot of fun.
This custom ice chest, made by club member Jack MacNeill, was on
display and was presented to a lucky participant on
Saturday when Jack drew their entry number in a special drawing at the awards
ceremony.
Now we're ready, let the Run begin!
