29th Annual Run to the Sun - 2006

Some cars and trucks entered in the Run to the Sun, stay over until Sunday
morning to participate in the parade down McCulloch Boulevard. The parade
started promptly at 9:30 AM and was led by our President, Tom Hopple in his 1956
Ford Club Coupe. This year there were approximately 100 vehicles making the
downhill trip towards the London Bridge. Local Police units assisted by holding
up traffic as the parade crossed several intersections.
There has been talk about deleting this event from our Run because of lack
of participation. If you have a comment about it, please drop us a note to let
us know your feelings.
Next year, the 30th
Annual Run to the Sun will be open to 1972 and older cars and trucks. The dates will be October
17-21, 2007 and we hope you'll make your plans early to attend as we'll be
looking forward to having you join us in sunny Lake Havasu City.
