Below is some information we collected about the 32nd Annual Run to the Sun.
Our Run is open to 1972 and older cars and trucks and there were 872 entries
this year. Entrants came
from Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico,
Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. This year we also had
two entries
from British Columbia,
Canada. Lake Havasu City is known to have more old cars and trucks per capita
than anywhere in the United States and 312 of the vehicles entered were from Lake Havasu City.
There were 32 different makes of vehicles entered this year. Ford continues
to be the make of choice and there were 416 of them entered. Chevrolet was the
second most popular make with 301. There was a great assortment of cars and
trucks on display, with examples from every decade from the
1900's to the 1970's. The complete list is:

1932 Fords were the best represented year and make again this year. Body
styles included 3 Window Coupes, 5 Window Coupes, Pick-ups, Roadsters,
2 Door Sedans, 4 Door Sedans, Victorias and one B-400. Below are the six most
popular vehicles by year and make.
Since we raised the years of the cars allowed in our show from 1959 to 1972
in 2007, 22% of the entries in 2007 and 2008 were for vehicles manufactured between
1960 and 1972. This year there were 200 vehicles
manufactured after 1959, a slight increase to 23% of the total entries.
