Eating Out
(Click on any picture below to enlarge it)
A favorite activity of most car clubs is eating.
Members of Relics & Rods are no exception. We occasionally get together on a
Friday night and cruise in our cars to a local restaurant. On one Friday night
we went to the Topock Marina which is just off of Interstate 40 at the Colorado
River, about 30 miles from Lake Havasu City.

They have a large deck overlooking the Colorado River
and their marina and they fired up the large barbeque on their deck so we could
cook our own steaks. Some diners opted for the all you could eat fish fry.

When everyone had finished eating and as we were enjoying the
sunset, there was a drawing and we gave away some fun gifts to the lucky ticket
holders. It was a nice evening for all who attended.

On a Saturday morning in July of 2003, we made a trip down
below Parker Dam to Badenochs, which is right on the Colorado River about 30
miles south of Lake Havasu City, for breakfast. They have slips so the boaters
can pull up and dock while they stop to grab a bite to eat. The weather was warm
but there was a nice breeze and lots of scenery to take in as we ate and watched
the boats and water skiers go bye. Quite a busy place on weekends but the time
waiting for our food was well spent visiting with our friends.
