Our vote counting crew assembled on Saturday morning in the Bridgewater
Links Pro Shop to count votes. After the votes were tallied, a crew was
dispatched on golf carts to find and tag the winning cars.
Again this year, our very popular Kachina trophies were given to the
class winners and cars selected by our major sponsors. The awards were held on
Saturday afternoon at 4 PM and the winners drove by the stage of the Pearl Bailey
Showmobile to receive their trophies from our Run Chairwoman, Paula Zalibra.
A
drawing was held for a Run to the Sun - 2002 ice chest with a custom padded top, made
and donated by club member Jack MacNeill. This drawing was for entrants only,
and the chest went to a lucky participant whose
entry number was drawn by Jack.
Before
the awards were handed out, Ed Ebach, NSRA State Rep for Arizona, and Howie
Williams, NSRA Safety Rep, presented a NSRA Merit Award to Paula Zalibra, Run
Chairwoman, and Dave Zalibra, Relics & Rods President, for their many years of
service to Relics & Rods and Run to the Sun.
