What do most women do at a car show while their men are out looking at cars?
That may be a hard question to answer at most car shows, but at our Run to the
Sun on a Saturday morning, you can find a room full of women at the Fashion
Show, put on by Relics & Rods ladies. The London Bridge Resort's Convention
Center was the location for this year's event and it was free to entrants.
Things started off with coffee, tea, cookies and brownies at 10:00 AM.
Several local clothing stores provided fashions that were
modeled by volunteers.
While the models changed into different outfits, tickets were drawn for door
prizes and many ladies went home with a Dolly Momma.
Entertainment was also provided by some local talent.
This year, there was a contest for the most outrageous
hand-made earrings and special prizes were awarded to the winners.
There was also an optional raffle that included 3 diamond pendants, a
diamond & pearl ring and some other nice items.
As it is with all the events associated with Run to the Sun, the proceeds from
the Fashion Show are donated to local charities and we appreciate the support
of our sponsors and participants.
