Poker Run

The Poker Run this year went once again to the Blue Water Resort & Casino in Parker, AZ. The weather on Thursday morning was perfect for cruising and there were lots of convertibles and roadsters lined up to make the 35 mile trip to Parker along State Route 95.

The first card was drawn at the "Pink Hotel" on the island in Lake Havasu City and cars left there between 10:00 AM and Noon. One free hand came with each entry and additional hands could be purchased at the first stop for $5.00 each. From there, the cars crossed over the London Bridge and headed south on SR 95 on their way to the scenic outlook, where the second card was drawn. The next stop was at Havasu Springs, near Parker Dam, to draw their third cards. Stop four was at the State Park and the final card was drawn at the Blue Water Resort & Casino in Parker, where entrants enjoyed taking a break, having a bite to eat and doing a little gambling before heading back to Lake Havasu City for cruise night.

Thanks to the Blue Water Resort & Casino for their $500.00 donation for poker hand and trivia contest prizes. They also provided additional prizes in the way of $50.00 and $30.00 gift certificates, concert tickets, shirts, etc.

The winners of the Poker Run were:

Don Herman (Entry #156) won the $250.00 prize for best hand.
