Cruise Night

This year, we tried something different in an attempt to provide enough
parking for our early arrivals. McCulloch Blvd was closed early, and all cars
were removed from the street. Another Lake Havasu City car club, the Havasu
Classics, assisted in parking the cars that entered McCulloch from three
entrances this year. The gates were scheduled to open at 4:00 PM but because of
the large amount of cars backed up on the side streets, the gates were opened
early and the street was soon filled with cars.

Then the spectators came, and they came in bunches, to view the cars. More
cars were parked on the street than ever before and it's believed that more
people were on the street than ever before. This continued well into the evening
and both local TV stations had crews out filming on the street. This part of our
event is popular with our participants and the thousands of spectators who come
to main street on Thursday night.
Several new restaurants along this stretch of McCulloch Blvd provided plenty
of places to eat and drink. Our T-shirt vendor, Natural Tease
Sportswear, had booths set up to sell event shirts and music was
provided by Desert Steel Motorsports.
