30th Annual Run to the Sun - 2007

Wednesday morning was a beautiful morning and the water under the London
Bridge was perfectly flat as participants started arriving to get in line for
registration.
Our check in crew was ready and the 50/50 and engine raffle
people were waiting for those first partipants to get checked in. Our T-shirt
vendor had their Run merchandise set up in registration and event shirts could
be picked up there with the coupon we provided for a free T-shirt. It was busy
all day in registration and our crew was happy to see the 5:00 PM hour roll
around. It was now nearing the time for the kick-off party to begin.
Kick Off Party
The Kick-Off party was held in the London Bridge Resort's Convention Center and there was plenty of
parking on the golf course. You could dine inside,
or outside on the patio where you could enjoy a great view of the sunset and
London Bridge, and listen to the music provided by Desert Steel Motorsports.
The hot dogs and hamburgers were served buffet style and lines were formed
early by a bunch of hungry rodders.
Some people just enjoyed sitting outside while the sun was
setting and others were just busy filling their plates.
Then it was time to chow down and visit with the other rodders
at your table. A great way to meet new friends.
Soon it was time for the door prize drawings and many nice gifts were given
away to some lucky people.
When the door prize drawings were completed, the visiting continued and many
people enjoyed this view of the London Bridge from the patio, just as they had
earlier in the day.
