BOWLING PARTY

When the summer heat is upon us, and it's too hot to do anything that
doesn't involve a pool or the lake, we look for indoor activities. One event
that has been held several times over the past few years is a bowling party. The
photos below were taken in July of 2008 and on the day we picked it was Moonlight
Bowling with all
the lights turned off and a disco ball spinning lights across the alleys. Form
wasn't being judged since we could barely see the alley and the distraction from
the lights was a common complaint (excuse) from the bowlers. Some members just
came to cheer us on but there wasn't much to cheer about.

Lawrence, the OK kid from OK, who was visiting with his grandparents, was
our mascot for the day and he won the pin head award for having the lowest
score.
After the pins were beat to a pulp, many members struck
out down the alley,
avoiding the gutters,
for Pizza Hut, where some ate sparingly.
There were some fowls
on the menu but no turkeys.
After eating, everyone split
saying they had a ball.
